The Suprema

sold

This is a four-string guitar about two feet tall with a 17.5 inch scale. The sound box is made from a Calidad Suprema cigar box. The neck is red oak stained to match the box color. Metal strips are inlaid at fret positions. This guitar is intended to be played with a slide so the frets are not raised. Key fret positions are marked with tiny flush mounted screws at the 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th frets. I've put in an internal piezo pickup that sounds pretty good amplified. It is strung with light gauge strings and tuned to an open A for a mandolin-esque sound.
